Who or what is Molo?

A collage of four images on a yellow background with orange text. The top left shows a woman with light green hair holding a young child against a cityscape. The top right shows a black cat with yellow eyes sitting on a windowsill. The bottom left shows a smiling woman with glasses standing outside a house with the number 7637. The bottom right has a cartoon character with blue hair and glasses, giving a thumbs-up, with the caption "they/them." The text overlays read: "Yes, I would love to hold your baby while you check out your future home," "I am happy to work with dog people too," and "Curious, meticulous, & so excited for you!"

I’m a weird old bag/cartoon person (they/them) who’s lived in Oregon since 1994 and loves this place deeply. I spent 20 years teaching in Portland’s high schools, honing the skills I need for this 2nd career.

As a neurodivergent queerdo, I have excellent paperwork skills and an expansive and welcoming heart - the perfect combo for this important moment in your life!

My own sense of self shifted forever when my wife and I became homeowners together in 2007, and I’m so excited to do this work: helping to build a more inclusive, sustainable, and loving Portland.

As an anti-capitalist who acknowledges and honors the tribes who continue to be the original stewards of this awesome corner of earth, I struggled with home ownership at first. Let’s talk about it!

Who do I love to work with?

Lovers of the PNW & those actively working to improve, contribute to, and sustain its glory. I get it. I love it here too.

Ambivalent property owners…housing permanence and wealth building is resistance within capitalism.

Queerdos & trans fam, neurospicy folx, allies, people who thought they would never buy, nervous nellies, lovers, fighters, & you.

Real people who are seeking their forever place in this enormous and complicated world.

Kind words about Molo from clients:

“Amazing realtor who gets to know your interests and limits quickly and effectively, knows Portland’s strengths and weaknesses and willing to share that knowledge honestly, connects you to kind experts in every field needed to navigate the buying process.”

“A great collaborative experience for my first time home purchase. Knowledgeable in the building structures unique to Portland. Excellent at pointing out hidden details throughout the properties. I appreciate your honesty and candor. Helping find the right house instead of just trying to shoehorn us into anything for the sale.”

“Molo is awesome! They were very responsive and accommodated all of our needs with finding a home. They were very knowledgeable and had many resources to answer our questions about the home. We LOVE MOLO!”
